IEF Programs: River Blindness in Cameroon

IEF and the local Ministry of Health staff are responsible for distributing Mectizan® (ivermectin) in Cameroon's Adamaoua and South Provinces to address onchocerciasis, the disease which causes what is commonly known as "river blindness." In 2010, over 967,000 people were treated in both Provinces. [ IEF Programs ]

The IEF's blindness prevention and sight saving programs are funded by governmental, foundation, and corporate contributors, as well as individuals like you who generously donate online.
