World Sight Day is October 8, and the annual Vision 2020 USA sponsored briefing will be held virtually from 11 am to 12 pm, and the speakers are fantastic!
This year the speakers are Ingrid Zimmer-Galler M.D. who brings over two decades of experience, including leading telehealth for the Johns Hopkins University Health System, and Tony Cavallerano OD, FAAO, with a long and distinguished record expanding access to at-risk populations with telehealth from his base at the New England College of Optometry. These distinguished speakers will deliver insights on policy and health and how telehealth systems can answer access challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic and serve us well in the future.
The event will include opening remarks from Victoria Sheffield, Vice President, International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness. The event will be moderated by Mitchell Brinks, MD, MPH, Chair of VISION 2020 USA.
This year's presentations will be exciting and easy to access via Zoom. Even if you are in a different region than the USA, you will have the ability to tune in!
Join us for "Addressing COVID-19 related health care challenges with stronger telehealth policy: The future of medicine.”
