Career Opportunity With IEF: Project Assistant Coordinator
The International Eye Foundation (IEF) seeks to hire a Project Assistant Coordinator to support ongoing signature eye health programs. The Project Assistant Coordinator works in direct coordination with the President & CEO and senior staff to support the implementation of the following key interventions:
1. USAID's Child Blindness Program (CBP) – a five-year USAID-funded global pediatric eye health program where IEF is a subcontractor to Integrative Sciences (prime contractor).
2. SightReach Management program (SRM) – a program to develop eye hospitals' efficiency and sustainability in developing nations.
3. Onchocercias Control Program (OC) – a community-based program to control onchocerciasis (river blindness).

The late James Wolfensohn, who headed the World Bank, wrote the forward highlighting the role the Bank played in creating a coalition of stakeholders to eliminate onchocerciasis. This ancient scourge left people blind in the 30’s and 40’s, their most productive years.
